Personal and business taxes, US and Canadian, done by a licensed CPA who finds what software and seasonal preparers miss. Fixed price, quoted before any work starts, and filed on time.

Software fills in the boxes you already know about. A CPA finds the ones you do not: the election that lowers your bill, the deduction your last preparer skipped, the credit you qualify for. Your return is prepared, reviewed, and signed by that CPA, so someone qualified stands behind it.

1040 and Canadian T1, from a simple W-2 return to rentals, investments, and multi-state.
Schedule C, home office, QBI, quarterly estimates, and whether an S-corp election would save you money.
1120-S, 1065, and 1120, with the K-1s to your owners and the books tied out to the return.
Canadian T1 and T2, and both countries together when you live or earn on both sides. See cross-border →
Every return is a fixed fee you see up front. Start with a second-opinion review, or go straight to your return.
Behind on several years? Multi-year catch-up is one of the most common ways clients start. We get every open year filed and back on schedule, with the full scope and price quoted before any work begins.
Includes federal + one state. Canadian returns: T1 from $250 CAD, T2 from $1,500 CAD. Add-ons (extra state +$125, K-1 +$50, S-corp election $350, amended from $350) are quoted up front. The $195 second opinion credits toward an amendment or engagement.
The lowest price and the lowest tax bill are rarely the same return. Here is what the bargain option leaves on the table.
Cheaper on the invoice. The cost shows up in what it skips.
A fixed price, quoted first, with a CPA standing behind it.
The cheapest return is the one that misses the deduction you never knew to claim. A CPA-prepared return checks the moves a checkbox skips, and more often than not it pays for itself. Coming from software or another preparer? Send last year's return and we take it from there.
A licensed CPA prepares and signs your return, and if our error causes a penalty, the cost is ours, written into the engagement letter you sign.
The conditions: complete and timely information from you, and any IRS or CRA notice forwarded to us within 7 days of the date on the notice. The warranty covers our errors; it does not promise a specific refund or outcome.
If our error causes a penalty or interest on a return we prepared, we pay it, up to your fee or $2,500, whichever is smaller.
Your return is prepared, reviewed, and signed personally by Yarik Yarosh, a CPA licensed in both the United States and Canada. The same CPA who plans the return signs it, and is reachable year-round, not just from January to April. The practice runs bookkeeping, business and personal tax, cross-border, and advisory under one roof.
A profitable freelancer was paying self-employment tax on every dollar. We ran the numbers, made a timely S-corp election, and set a reasonable salary.
A client who had fallen behind came in dreading it. We filed the open years, sorted the notices, and put estimates in place so it would not happen again.
A new client's prior return looked fine until we read it. A missed home-office allocation and an overlooked retirement deduction were both still claimable.
Client engagements of the firm. Details anonymized.
"A real CPA caught a deduction my last preparer had missed two years running. The amended return more than paid for the review."

"Both my US and Canadian returns done in one place, and they finally agree. No more two accountants pointing at each other."

"Fixed price, quoted up front, and a CPA I can actually reach in July. April stopped being the stressful month."
